Gujarat CM inaugurates Chinese firm TBEA’s green energy park at Vadodra

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel has called upon the investors and entrepreneurs from world over, including China, to take part in approaching Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit-2015 and partner the state’s developmental journey.

The Chief Minister today inaugurated a ‘green energy park’ set up by the Chinese multinational TBEA near Karjan in Vadodara. The energy park is equipped with the world-class facilities and will manufacture transformers and reactors which are key equipments in energy generation.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister exuded faith that Gujarat’s encouraging policies, excellent infrastructural facilities and positive administrative approach will prove beneficial to the entrepreneurs and investors.

She said the investment and setting up of plant by a Chinese company in Gujarat is a result of the former Chief Minister and present Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s China visit and his farsightedness. “His China visit has become instrumental in creating possibilities of partnership between Gujarat and China in the sectors such as infotech, urban development and energy”, Mrs. Patel said.

The Chief Minister said that green and clean energy is Gujarat’s prime objective for sustainable growth. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had envisaged panchamrut concept for boosting economic growth while protecting the environment. Following this concept, Gujarat has linked the protection of environment with the development of state”, she added.

The Chief Minister also gave outlines of the state’s plan for making Gandhinagar a solar city and the state’s initiatives for the development of solar and wind energy sectors.

The energy park of TBEA is expected to create about 3100 direct and 6000 indirect jobs in three phases, said Mrs. Patel while urging the youths to acquire proper education, training and skill building so as to seize this opportunity at doorstep.

She asserted the Gujarat government’s resolve to provide better lifestyle and prosperity to the citizens while encouraging investment in education and health sectors.

Speaking about the state’s flourishing port industry Mrs. Patel said that Dahej port of Gujarat equips best facilities for export-import and storage of imported chemicals. Dahej SEZ has bagged a place among top 25 SEZ in the world, she said.

Mentioning the Buddhist influence in China Mrs. Patel said that Gujarat used to be a center of Buddhism in ancient times.

She appreciated the contribution of Rs. 11 lakh by TBEA to Kanya Kelavani Nidhi.

On the occasion Vadodara’s Minister In-charge and Health Minister Nitin Patel said the manufacturing of ultra high-voltage power transformer and rector by the Chinese company has added a new chapter in the state’s development.

China ambassador to India Mr. Wei Wei assured the state government that he would encourage the Chinese companies to increase their investment in Gujarat.

Mentioning the rapid development of Gujarat’s cities and villages TBEA Chairman Zang Kajisin said that Mr. Modi invited the company to invest in Guajrat and India during his first China visit. “He has a inspiring personality. Due to his support this project has completed in 16 months instead of 36 months”, he said.

TBEA Vice President, on the occasion, said the guidance of the Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and the state government’s support will prove catalyst to the growth of the company.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister, Health Minister and TBEA Chairman unveiled the first lot of transformers-reactors manufactured by the company.

MLAs Jitubhai Sukhadiya, Manishaben Vakil, Sathishbhai Patel, District Panchayat President Sudhaben Parmar, District in-charge secretary Atanu Chakravarty, District collector Vinod Rao, taluka leaders and TBEA’s staff members were present on the occasion.
