Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC) is likely to open its Tapi River Front project in the first week of August. The SMC has sought time for Chief Minister Anandiben Patel to inaugurate the project. It is likely that Chief Minister may agree to give 2nd August date for inauguration.
There are nearly dozen development projects including Dindoli talav project that are completed and yet to be inaugurated in Surat. It is likely that the Chief Minister will open all these projects in a single function in Surat during her visit in the first week of August.
Surat is the second city where River front project has been executed successfully after Ahmedabad.
