Saurashtra completes 66% of average monsoon season’s rain, Gujarat 34%

The entire picture of monsoon in Gujarat, and particularly in Saurashtra region has changed drastically in 32 hours ( 23 June morning 8 hours to 24 June afternoon 4 hours). According to State Emergency Operation Center, Department of Revenue, Government of Gujarat, the Saurashtra region has completed 65.99% rain of average monsoon season in the month of June itself. The month of June is otherwise considered just starting phase of monsoon.
Southern Gujarat has completed 37.82% rain of normal monsoon year while Central-East Gujarat has completed 19.92%, north Gujarat 7.45% and Kutch 7.30% rain of normal season so far. Gujarat state has completed 33.95% rainfall of normal average monsoon season.
