Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel today evening inaugurated the second bus port in Ahmedabad – this one at Ranip and dedicated to north-Gujarat bound bus traffic. Equipped with shopping complex, food-court and office spaces, Ranip bus port also has dispensary to tend to passengers’ medical emergencies. The bus port has been declared tobacco free zone. Built through public private partnership mode, Ranip bus port will decongest traffic at Gita Mandir bus station as Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation(GSRTC) buses plying to north Gujarat will be managed from here. As Ranip bus port is dedicated to the citizens, the Chief Minister urged people to help administration in maintaining cleanliness.
