Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief (Sarsanghchalak) Mohan Bhagwat today said that the aim of his outfit was to re-instate India as ‘Vishwa-Guru’ (world leader).

Addressing the Varsh Pratipada function of RSS in GMDC ground here this evening, which was also attended by former IPS officer D G Vanzara along with a large number of BJP functionaries including state ministers, Mr. Bhagwat said, ‘our resolve is to protect the religion and make India resplendent. Spread the feeling of nationalism in the country and make it the Vishwa Guru again. So that peace and happiness comes to the world. India had given the concept of religion of humanity to the world. The chants of Bharat Mata ki Jai will be heard world over.’

Exhorting the RSS members to work in the direction of achieving the laid down resolutions, the RSS chief said that working rather than mere speaking was needed for this. Every swayamsevak will have to himself behave the way the RSS wants India to be. We believe in working not speaking alone. To unite the society and the nation, every swayamsevak will have to become a RSS in himself reflecting nationalism in his etiquettes.

He said that faith and acceptance of RSS has increased which was an important thing.

‘Our influence has increased but what is more important is that faith in our outfit has also gone up,’ he said.

The RSS believes in the ideology of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam (the whole world is a family). ‘There is no opposition to our definition of nationalism. But when we call it Hindu Ideology, those with narrow minds become agitated. They have limited the scope of Hindu Ideology, which has the capability to re-establish world peace..

In RSS we don’t ask the religion of the entrant, we don’t ask from which little sect one has come but just see whether he is willing to say Bharat Mata ki Jai, which is the only slogan we chant, Mr. Bhagwat said.

He said that the swayamsevaks through their behaviour should turn the whole society and nation in to RSS. Even our strongest critics should also be won over.

Earlier he elaborated on the life and ideology of the RSS founder Shri Hedgevar.
