17 Congress Councillors resign from post in Mahesana municipality

Mahesana:
17 Councillors of Mahesana municipality have resigned from their posts. They all are Congress Councillors. In a letter do district Congress president they said none of their proposed developmental works are taking place for last six months. Municipality president Nimishaben A Patel doesn’t listen to them on ward development related issues. People in their areas are facing problem.
They said they have made representations before district and state level party office bearers repeatedly but no decision has been taken and therefore they are compelled to resign.
Among those who have signed a letter of resignation are leader of party in municipality, vice president, standing committee head, chairmen of road, disaster management, encroachment, health clinics, light, staff selection, water works, underground gutter, gardens, transport, sanitary among others.
