Hitting out at Rahul, MP CM Shivraj says, one who never lifted Puja-Thali is now visiting temple after temple in GujaratOctober 15, 2017
Ankleshwar: Madhya Pradesh CM and senior BJP leader Shivrajsinh Chauhan today attacked Congress and its vice president Rahul Gandhi for the main opposition’s posture in poll-bound Gujarat and praised PM Narendra Modi for his developmental agenda.
Addressing a public meeting in Ankaleshwar of Bharuch district as part of Gujarat Gaurav Yatra of ruling BJP, Chauhan in his typical style questioned the motive behind the recent temple-tours of Rahul in the poll bound state. ‘The man (Rahul), who has never once lifted a Puja Thali (Puja-Platter) in the past, is visiting temple after temple nowadays. Not only that he is visiting the temples but was also making big tilaks on his forehead. He is uttering Ram-Ram and also running to Maa Durga.’
Notably, Rahul had started his poll campaign in Gujarat last month after offering puja in Jagat temple of Dwarka and later also visited several temples including the Chamunda Mata temple in Chotila and later this month Santram Temple in Central Gujarat and others. His opponents allege that this was intended to mend the ‘anti-Hindu’ image of Congress in the wake of Gujarat election.
The MP CM also hit out at Rahul for his recent comment about non-inclusion of woman in RSS. He condemned the said indecent language of the Congress leader for women folk. Rahul had said that he had never seen women in short pants in RSS shakhas.
Chauhan said that Gujarat has seen great development during BJP rule and the whole world was praising it but Rahul was unable to see it. He also put forth various data of development during BJP rule and compared it with Congress regime period. He said that the production of various agri produces including cotton, ground nut, fruits and vegetable have increased manifold during BJP rule. The state has made progress on various other fronts. Gujarat where riots were the order of the day during Congress rule, became an island of peace under Modiji. But Congress which had done numerous scams including a Jijaji scam (the land scam involving Robert Vadra) was unable to see the progress of Gujarat as if it was blind.
Raising the Dokalam standoff issue, Chauhan said that China had never talked to us during Congress rule but under Modi government it had to push back from Dokalam. Congress had made the country a hostage of sorts of just one family the Gandhi-Nehru family. Congress conferred Bharat Ratna to Nehru and Indiraji of its ruling family but ignored Sardar Patel. Without Patel one can’t think of what India is today. He unified it. Had Nehruji given the Kashmir issue for resolution to him in the beginning it would not have been an issue at all. But Nehru ji kept it with him. Congress and Nehru ji were responsible for Kashmir problem.
He also said that like Sardar Patel and Mahatma Gandhi, who gave the formula of truth and non-violence to the world, the two great sons of Gujarat, PM Modi has also become a world leader.
He said that PM Modi was our Prime Minister and at the same time he has also become a world leader. Whenever he goes on trips abroad he gets overwhelming welcome and people chant Modi-Modi.
Terming Gujarat and MP as two brothers and sons of the same mother, he said that mother Narmada, without which the development of both the state could not be imagined, was the mother of both the states. It connects both the neighbouring states. The people of MP had taken out a live procession for Maa Narmada and they planted 6.63 crore saplings beside it to keep it alive.
On the occasion union minister Purushottam Rupala said that it seems that the Congress leaders were suffering from cataract which was stopping them from seeing the development of Gujarat. He taunted that cataract camps should be held to operate the Congress leaders so that they could see the development which the world was praising.
