Gujarat Congress women’s wing chief sends resignation
March 12, 2018
Ahmedabad:
Gujarat women Congress president Sonalben Patel today said that she has sent her resignation to the president of All India women Congress.
Patel said that she has taken this step owing to the fielding of ‘parachute’ candidate for the Rajyasabha election in Gujarat ignoring other dedicated and more senior woman cadres/leaders of the party.
She said that there were better candidates than Ameeben Yagnik in the party.
‘The high command said that it would not allow the parachute candidates but it has done the contrary. I have sent my resignation,’ She said.
