Advocates held angry demonstration in New Vadodara district court premises on the very first working day

Vadodara:
Advocates today held angry demonstration in the new court premises in the city here alleging that there were no proper sitting and other facilities for them in it.
The police also had to reportedly use light force to control the protesting advocates who were allegedly bent upon to damage certain court offices including that of the district judge.
They later started a sit in protest in front of the court which was inaugurated by CM Vijay Rupani two days ago. Today was the first day of the new court premises constructed at a cost of Rs 130 crores.
Demanding action against the policemen who had allegedly baton charged over them and proper sitting and other arrangement the advocates threatened to boycott the court work till it was done.
A senior advocate said that there was no proper sitting arrangement or even drinking water facilities for advocates. The Baroda district bar association would take a call on whether to proceed on indefinite strike or not.
Meanwhile JCP of Vadodara Police K S Bhati said that efforts were on to resolve the issue.
