Police foils Love-Jihad bid, nabs Muslim youth with married Gujarati girl from Mumbai airport

In a suspected case of Love- Jehad, the Vapi and Mumbai police in a joint operation has nabbed a Muslim youth from Mumbai from Chhatraparti Shivaji Airport there along with a married woman of Hindu community.
Police today said that Salman (27) and Parinati (changed name) (23) were nabbed from the airport last night minutes before they were to board a flight to Kolkata.
The girl was already married and was missing from parent’s house in Vapi town of Valsad. The boy, a resident of Mumbai, used to study in the same college there in which the girl had also pursued her BCA course. They knew each other since 2013.
The girl was later married off by their parents in Valsad. Salman allegedly contacted her over social media and coaxed her.
He had taken her to Mumbai from where he had booked flight tickets for Kolkata but the police caught them swiftly minutes before take off of the flight.
Police alerted the airport authorities in Mumbai and they were detained. They were later brought to Vapi police station.
Some Hindu outfits also assembled near the police station and protested the incident.
PI of Vapi R D Makwana said that the matter was under investigation.
