Heat-wave makes come-back, to affect larger parts of Gujarat tomorrow

After few days of respite the heat-wave today returned to parts of Gujarat especially in Saurashtra-Kutch region and adjoining union territory of Diu.
The met bulletin has issued heat wave warning for tomorrow as well and that too in larger parts of the state including North, South, Saurashtra- Kutch and the union territories of Diu, Daman and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Today Surendranagar remained hottest at 42.8ºC while Amreli at 42 ºC was the second hottest. In all a total of at-least 11 places saw mercury reaching 40 ºC or above and at-least half a dozen seeing it reaching 41 ºC or above.
Ahmedabad city saw a maximum of 40.2 ºC which was just (0.2 ºC ) below normal.
The reason behind return of heat-wave spell was drop in humidity owing to dry westerly and northwesterly winds.
