Gujarat govt to provide land for setting up Sainik School in border district Kutch: Rupani

Bhuj: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani asserted that his government is committed to meet all the requirements, including drinking waters, roads and mobile phone connectivity, of the jawans of Border Security Force (BSF) posted on Gujarat borders.

He made this announcement at a foundation stone laying ceremony of Lord Hanumaan temple to be renovated at a cost of Rs. 2-crore by Swaminarayan Sansthan at Bheliya Bet in Kutch district on Sunday.

The chief minister also gifted water-coolers and air-coolers to the BSF jawans to fight against scorching heat of summer in desert of Kutch. With a vision to encourage the youths to join the army, ‘Sainik School’ should be opened in the bordering villages, Mr. Rupani said and added Gujarat Government would provide land for the purpose.

Others who spoke on the occasion included minister of state for social justice and rights, Mr. Vasanbhai Ahir, Mr. Ajaykumar Tomar, BSF, IG, Acharya Rajendraprasad Maharaj, Swaminarayan Sansthan, Bhuj, Mahant Swami Shree Dharmanandan Lalji, and Mr. Vinodbhai Chavda, MP.

Those who graced the occasion included MLA Mrs. Neemaben Acharya, Mrs. Anjaliben Rupani, Ms Kaushaliyaben, President, District Panchayat, collector Madam Shree Ramya Mohan, Mr. Piyush Patel, IG, Kutch Border Range, and Mr. Prabhav Joshi, DDO, and others.
