VMC proposes to hand over Kadakbajar land for bullet train project

Vadodara: A proposal has been moved by municipal commissioner of Vadodara to allocate the land in Kadakbajar near railway station for Mumbai – Ahmedabad bullet train terminal for the price of Rs 21 crore.
As per the proposal made before the Standing Committee of Vadodara Municipal Corporation(VMC), National High Speed Rai Corporation Ltd has handed over the maps for proposed bullet train terminal and approach plans and sought VMC land.
The VMC has its own 4,474.26 sq.m land where school building, lab, shops, register mandli office etc constructions are situated. One shop has been owned by private party. VMC proposes to acquire the land for High Speed Rail Corporation at a price of Rs 47,000 per sqm Jantri rate.
