Ahmedabad:

The wait for arrival of South West Monsoon in Gujarat continued today as well even as parts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra region saw some pre-monsoon showers and several places including Ahmedabad witnessed cloudy to partly cloudy weather.

The changed atmospheric situation might delay the proper advent of Monsoon in the state.

Several places also continued to reel under humid hotness.

With the weakening of the system pushing monsoon forward, the proper advent of it in Gujarat might take over a week though the met bulletin has predicted continuation of spell of light to moderate pre-monsoon showers in the coming five days also.

Earlier the met had predicted early arrival of monsoon in Gujarat 4 to 5 days ahead of its normal time of June 15. Later it said that the monsoon might come before time but in a weaker form and now looking at the changed atmospheric situation it seems that the arrival of monsoon might takes a bit longer than expected.
