Ahmedabad: The city of Ahmedabad today received its first heavy rainfall of this year. Thuderstorm started at around 5.50 am and continued for hour or so with strong wind and roaring sky. Some tree felling incidents including one in Ambawadi area are reported due to strong wind coupled with rain. Citywide CCTV camera network’s panel at Dharnidhar cross roads collapsed due to strong wind and heavy rain. Due to sudden heavy downpour, low lying pockets such as Hatkeshwar in east witnessed water logging for sometime. With a round of heavy shower, the atmosphere in the city is cooler, cloudy and pleasant. The city of Vadodara too received a round of shower today morning. The city received first round of rain of this season yesterday.
