Patan:
The working Chairman of the taluka panchyat in Radhanpur, the constituency of Congress MLA Alpesh Thakor and his former close aide Suresh Thakor, has leveled serious allegations of corruption against the legislator.
Thakor, who had campaigned for Alpesh in the last election but recently left Congress holding him responsible for it, today said that the MLA was a ‘liar’ and was deeply involved in corruption.
‘Alpesh made tall claims before election. He said that he would made houses for all the poor, but none got it so far, however Alpesh himself has got a Rs 5 crore tenement house in Ahmedabad. He has kept one Hardik Trivedi as his PA who is also deeply involved in corruption. He has also bought a Rs 10 lakh vehicle for his personal use,’ Suresh Thakor, who has now joined BJP alleged.
‘Alpesh is a big liar. He go to Gandhingar and other places for Janta raid against bootlegger but the fact is that illicit liquor is openly being sold in Radhanpur his own constituency. He had made commitment to the people that he would stay in his constituency itself but he only visit Radhanpur like a guest,’ he said.
Alpesh should answer to the people that how he has got a Rs 5 crore bungalow in Ahmedabad so soon. Why he is not taking any steps against the alleged corruption in Radhanpur Municipality despite the fact that he had promised to do so. On the contrary all the bills of the corrupt contractors have been passed after his becoming MLA, Suresh Thakor, who had participated in the campaign for Alpesh in the last election held in the last quarter of 2017 said.
