‘Love-letter’ of class 2 student to classmate girl in Vadodara city becomes ‘talk-of-the-town’

Vadodara:

A ‘love-letter’ by a class-2 student to his class-mate girl in a reputed school in the city has become talk of the town.

The father of the girl found a piece of note-book paper on which the 7 year old boy had made heart shapes vaguely with pencil and I Love You. He had also tried to depict the symbolic pictures of him and the girl in one of the heart shapes in his own way.

He had complained to Mrs Nandini Kapshikar, the principal of the Baroda Lions Club Education Trust run Bagikhana branch of Baroda High School about it and demanded the expulsion of the boy from the school claiming that the girl had informed him that he had written several such ‘love-letters’ to her.

‘The Principal laughed off such a serious issue. The writing of love-letter by a standard 2 boy should not be taken lightly,’ he claimed.

Mrs Kapshikar in reply told media persons, ‘ The guardian/father of a class 2 girl student from out primary section had come to meet me today. He complained that a boy of the same class had written a love letter to his daughter. He was asking for expulsion of the boy. I told them that there was nothing so serious or wrong in it. Does such a little boy understand the meaning of what he has done. They are trying to find a wrong meaning in it.’

To a query as to how a small boy learns writing a love letter, She said that the boy must have learnt doing such things through tv or mobile phone.
