Rajpipla: As population of leopards is increasing in forest area of Narmada district, the government has made a plan to separate panthers from human population by creating panther park.
Rs 2 crore panther park will come up in forest area of Rajpipla in Central Gujarat. The project which was stalled for several years is back thanks to the efforts by Shabdasharan Tadvi and forest official Dr Sandip Kumar.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad has declared bandh in Rajpipla - district headquarter of Narmada on 11 April.
The bandh call has been given against kidnappings of Hindu girls by Muslim youths. According to VHP, in last two years six Hindu girls have been kidnapped by Muslim romeos, and they are converted to Islam.

People of Machhi community in Rajpipla performed the traditional ritual of wedding of frogs to please the rain God. A complete wedding ceremony was performed by a local priest. The two frogs were later released into the river. Machhi community believes that wedding of male and female frogs bring sufficient rain.
