Vadodara: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), through a notification, has prohibited the sale of non-vegetarian food on March 8th on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. Considering the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, the VMC has issued a notification ordering the closure of non-vegetarian shops on March 8th. Surat: Sumul Dairy sold a record-breaking amount of 15 lakh litres of milk in one day in Surat on the festival of Maha Shivratri yesterday. The usage of milk increases on the day of Maha Shivratri as the devotees perform the abhishek of milk in the Shivalayas on this day.
