Doctor Prerak Shah and his wife Kinjal shah were killed in a bomb blast outside Civil hospital’s trauma center in Ahmedabad yesterday. Originally from Modasa, Dr. Prerak Shah was working at Civil hospital after finishing his medical education. He was staying in Civil hospital quarters along with his wife. His wife Kinjal was pregnant.

Dr. Prerak and his wife Kinjal arrived at Civil hospital’s gynecology department for Kinjal’s routine pregnancy check-up. After check-up when they were returning back, they were killed in a powerful bomb explosion outside the trauma center at Civil hospital.

Doctors in Civil hospital were shocked by their colleague’s sudden death. In another sad incident, a first year physiotherapy medical student Sanket Andharia also died in the same bomb explosion. (In photo:Dr Prerak Shah and Kinjal Shah)
