Powerful timer bomb recovered, defused in Ahmedabad

Gujarat police Bomb disposal expert defused a powerful timer bomb on Sunday



A powerful live timer bomb was recovered and defused by Ahmedabad police bomb disposal squad’s cop R.D.Yadav today morning. Bomb was found from garbage container in city’s Hatkeshwar area. After serial blasts on Saturday evening, people were extra vigilant. On Sunday morning people informed police about presence of doubtful object in garbage container in Hatkeshwar an area which is part of Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency.

Ahmedabad police bomb disposal squad cop R.D.Yadav rushed to the place and confirmed the presence of live bomb in primary probe.

Dressed in a special black suit for protection against possible blast, Yadav successfully defused and pulled out the 2.5 kg. bomb with magnet and timer watch attached to it.

Operation went on for nearly half an hour. Yadav said it was careful, skillful but risky effort which was part of his job. After successful operation he thanked God by looking at sky and touching earth.

People who had gathered in large amount around the place including on roof tops and balconies cheered this brave man of Ahmedabad police who is considered as the most experienced cop in dealing with live bombs defusing in Gujarat.

Bomb was very powerful and if it had blasted, it’s intensity could injured and killed many people. Official death toll of Ahmedabad blast has already crossed 45 on Sunday morning, while over 92 are injured.
