The atmosphere at Dandiya grounds was charged up when Dandiya singers in Gujarat’s Rajkot sang Dandiya songs praising Tata Motors decision to set up world’s cheapest Nano car plant in Gujarat. Thousands of Garba players cheered and danced on the song of Nano in Garba grounds.

Dandiya singers specially penned lyrics for such songs after Nano plant MOU was signed between Gujarat Government and Tata Motors on the 8th day of Navratri. The lyrics mentioned Narendra Modi, Ratan Tata, Mamta benerji, Buddhadeb Bharracharjee and Gujarat.

On Racecourse ground singers Anita and Chirag sang Nano’s Garba song “Kal ka sapna aaj huvaa saakaar, banegee ab Gujarat mein Nano car…”

One of the couplets in Sanedo song dedicated to ‘Nano’ was:”Buddhaa kaa patang Mamtaa ne kaataa, development ko pad gayaa chaataa, jay ho hamaari bhaarat maataa, Gujarat mein aa gayaa Tata laal sanedo...”

Kashyap Shukla, organiser of the event at Virani School which is the biggest Garba venue in Saurashtra, decided to dedicate the entire Dandiya 8th night of Navratri to ‘Nano’. Singer Rakesh Barot at this location sang specially created ‘Nano Garba.’

Rajkot based musician Utpal Jivrajani said “People in Rajkot are more excited with Nano’s entry in Gujarat as the small car’s bulk parts would be manufactured in Rajkot.”
