Gujarat cloudy in winter, showers in some parts make farmers worried
Ahmedabad, DeshGujarat, 30 November, 2008

Satellite picture of Indian weather on Sunday afternoon
Even though it’s winter, due to western disturbances Gujarat had completely a dark cloudy atmosphere on Sunday. Parts of Gujarat including Ahmedabad and north Gujarat experienced drizzles and light showers in the morning.
On Saturday several parts of the state including Saurashtra and South Gujarat experienced light showers with powerful wind.
Those who had arranged wedding functions in open ground, party plot or farm house were worried due to arrival of sudden rainy clouds in the sky. But more worried were the farmers in almost all the districts because even little rain could harm their crops like cotton, cumin, Castor, ground nut and even mango trees.
Rain that could harm crops was experienced in Danta, Ambaji in north Gujarat, Talaa, Gir, Somnath, Veraval, Jamnagar and coastal Porbandar’s Ghed area in Saurashtra.
