Mount Abu toll:relief announced,driver suspended,list of 13 dead,47 injured

13 persons were dead and 47 were injured in Gujarat ST bus accident yesterday near Mount Abu, the latest official figures say. Ahmedabad-bound bus had plunged into valley next to Sitaberi village, five km from Mount Abu proper at around 4.30 pm.
Initial investigation suggests that bus driver involved in this accident had not committed any fatal accident in last five years. His medical examination cleared him from any possible physical inability. In view of seriousness of this accident, driver Tirsinh Jadeja has been suspended with immediate effect, and departmental inquiry has been ordered against him.
According to Shri P.D.Patel, Secretary, GSRTC, the corporation will give Rs. 50,000 relief to nearest relative of each passenger killed and Rs 25,000 aid will be given to each passenger seriously injured as per the motor vehicle act section 140.
Those killed: Umeshbhai Ramsinh, Madhuben Satishbhai, Chandraben Sundarlal, Majilal Kishanlal, Malaram Rupaji, Shivprasad Chaturbhuj, Pankajkumar Jagdishbhai, Nileshkumar Mangilal of Mount Abu. Gitaben Amartlal of Abu Road, Ganpatsinh Lakshmansinh of Revdar, Kamlaben Babulal of Disa, Somabhai Dharmabhai of Mahiseda(Revdar) and Digvijaysinh Jashvantsinh of Bhura.
Those injured: Bhaveshbhai, Tukaram, Shaktisinh, Priyakant, Devansingh, Rajkumar, Dinesh Parmar, Madhuben, Shailendra, Manoj Parmar, Nilesh Sanjayram, Jaypal Sanjayram of Sirohi. Bharatkumar Pankajbhai of Baroda, Chetan Khandelwal of Mumbai, Vinay Sanjaykumar, Mamtaben Bharatbhai, Bharatbhai Amartlal, Kamaljit Mangilal, Hemaben Pankajbhai, Mamtaben Amartlal, Jatinbhai Bharatbhai, Jagdishbhai Mahendrasinh, Simaben Hiteshbhai, Amratlal Ramchand, Lakshmiben Arjanbhai, Minaben Manjilal, Mamtaben Lakshmanbhai, Shanbhai Gulabrai, Kashvaram Ravtaji Rabari, Nilesh Mangilal, Nirmal Jaysinh, Mayaben ukeshbhai, Amarchand Mangilal Derva of Abu Road, driver Tirisinh Jadeja and conductor Rameshbhai Parmar of Ahmedabad, Mafatlal Keshaji, Hakmaram Ratnaji, Petaram Ramaji, Madharam Rupaji of Revdar, Mahendra Dungarav of Pijwada, Gulabnath Mohanlal of Pindavada, Rajaram Aslaji of Pindavada, Shantiben Devilal of Falna, Ramjibhai Laljibhai of Kheralu and Kailashbhai Atmaram of Pali.
