Maruti is coming:Osamu Suzuki to meet Narendra Modi

According to PTI report, Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corporation Chairman Osamu Suzuki will meet Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar tomorrow in order to finalize setting up of its Indian arm Maruti Suzuki’s manufacturing plant in the state. Suzuki, MSI Chairman RC Bhargava, Managing Director Shinzo Nakanishi and Production Head M M Singh will fly to Gandhinagar after attending the annual general meeting of Maruty Suzuki India.
Earlier in May, MSI had said it, along with vendors, could invest up to Rs 18,000 crore in Gujarat as it looks to produce about 20 lakh units in the long run in the state.
The company is seeking about 1,000 acres of land from the Gujarat government for its next plant, the sources said.
