Sundarvan Ahmedabad to organize a unique fruit bats show

Ahmedabad, 10 October, 2011

Ahmedabad based Sundarvan will organize a show of Fruit bats this Tuesday in the evening.

Sundarvan has a small colony of fruit bats since a year. The colony is being studied by environment lovers led by Shri Rajendrasinh Jadeja and Dr. Rajal Thacker.

A short video film too has been made on fruit bats in this course which will be featured during the fruit bat show.

“We have fruit bats in Sundarvan for a long time, but we focused on studying it only for last 8 months or so. We tried to hang fruits in the campus and were excited to learn whether fruit bats would taste it or not. We have been successful finally in feeding them banana,” Shri Jadeja told DeshGujarat over a phone.

He further said that there are many misconceptions about fruit bats which are to be removed through awareness programmes, and therefore Sundarvan is planning to organize regular shows on fruit bats on every full moon day.

Sundarvan also conducts snack shows for last many years.
