Ahmedabad, 1 March, 2012
As the leader of opposition refused to apologize even after Speaker’s ruling to do so, the Gujarat assembly again witnessed heat for second day, which resulted into one more adjournment.
The assembly was adjourned four times yesterday due to same reason.
Yesterday, during the question answer hour, Gohil reacted to minister Dilip Sanghani’s remark and said that ‘you have a partnership with Adani’.
On this, Sanghani challenged Gohil to prove this allegation.
Sanghani raised point of order against “a personal and baseless allegation made by Gohil”.
Sanghani said, “either Shaktisinh should apologize before the house for baseless allegation, or if he proves the allegation, I am ready to resign from my post”.
The Speaker studied the record and later in his ruling as per the rule no. 37 asked Gohil to apologize, but Gohil refused to do so.
Today the same story continued further. Sanghani sought apology as per the Speaker’s ruling, but Shaktisinh instead of apologize started talking other things. This was opposed by the BJP members loudly, which resulted into another adjournment.
Shaktisinh was heard as saying that if the Speaker makes clear, under which rule he has to apologize, he would apologize. Gohil said the allegation of partnership was not pointed individually at Sanghani, and it was a general allegation.
Meanwhile, as expected , a group of 20 Congress MLAs today proposed the removal of Gujarat Speaker Ganpat Vasava over his ruling. Fate of such proposal is clear as Congress is a tiny minority in the house.
Tweeting it
Shri Modhwadia tweeted: 2nd day, at the behest of CM, BJP disrupted the assembly and compelled the speaker to adjourn the house.

DeshGujarat tweeted:Civic poll result not in favor, EVM wrong. SIT report not in favor, SIT Chairman wrong. Speaker’s ruling not in favor, Speaker wrong:Gohil logic
