Congress drops gherao of assembly, march to Gandhinagar(Video)

Gujarat Congress had dropped its earlier announced programme of gherao of the assembly complex due to denial of permission by Gandhinagad district administration.
Gujarat Congress will now hold a prayer meeting at Sabarmati Gandhi ashram followed by a public rally on the ground nearby.
However permission to hold a protest rally in Ahmedabhad is yet not cleared. Shri Arjun Modhwadia, President of Gujarat Congress is however hopeful that permission will be given.
Gandhinagar district police chief had denied permission to Gujarat Congress’s march to assembly complex in view of ongoing board exams, assembly session and code of conduct effective in connection with Mansa by-election.
