Rajkot, 14 April 2012
A 12-year-old child Kuldip Parmar died today due to battery blast in Chinese toy in Dhandhani village of Rajkot district.
Kuldip, elder son of Mukeshbhai and Bhanuben Parmar, was playing with a JCB machine toy when the toy was being charged. Due to battery blast, current passed through Kuldip’s body and his heart stop working.
Mukeshbhai and Bhanuben took their child to civil hospital in Rajkot where Kuldip was declared dead.
Mukeshbhai had bought cheap Chinese toy from a fair.
This is not the first event of this type. In February last year, two children were injured due to blasts in Chinese toy. This year a farmer in Chotila belt lost his fingers due to Chinese battery blast in his mobile phone. It seems the government is not showing enough willingness to control the nuisance of low quality unsafe Chinese toys.
