Gabbar Hill darshan, Parikrama route, Ropeway to remain shut from April 15-17
April 14, 2025
Ambaji: Darshan at Gabbar Peak, 51 Shakti Peeth Parikrama, and the ropeway service at Ambaji will remain closed for three days from tomorrow due to beehive removal work at Gabbar Hill.
A large number of devotees visit the Ambaji Shakti Peeth at Gabbar, which is managed by the Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust. Many pilgrims use the ropeway to reach the hill for darshan. However, multiple honeybee hives have formed along the darshan path, the 51 Shakti Peeth Parikrama route, and other areas on Gabbar Hill.
With the onset of the summer season, increased bee activity has raised safety concerns for pilgrims. After several complaints were received about the difficulties faced by visitors, authorities have decided , in the interest of public safety, to carry out beehive removal operations at Gabbar from April 15 to April 17, 2025. During this period, darshan at Gabbar Peak, the 51 Shakti Peeth Parikrama, and the ropeway service will remain closed to pilgrims.
Normal darshan and ropeway services will resume on April 18, 2025. The Ambaji administration has requested the public to take note and cooperate during this temporary closure. DeshGujarat
