Jamnagar, 22 May 2012

21 Somali pirates in Gujarat’s Dwarka jail couldn’t be deported from India due to airline’s refusal to board them apprehending hijack.

The Gujarat Police had arrested 21 Somalians on 26 June at Dwarka coast. After prolong investigation and interrogation the central government decided to deport them.

Following this, on 24 April Dwarka Police took them to Mumbai’s Sahar airport to deport them by air via Dubai. However the security and immigration agencies refused to board them apprehending hijack.

A group of Somalians is thus back to Dwarka jail again.
