During an interaction in Ahmedabad, Janata Party President Dr. Subramanian Swamy today said that Gujarat should give maximum seats to Narendra Modi in assembly elections. Swamy compared Gujarat elections with ‘Kurukshetra’ and added that Gujarat polls are not only about Gujarat’s future, but very much about nation’s Swabhiman.

Congress is targeting Narendra Modi because, it’s Gandhi-Nehru family’s tradition that national leaders emerging from Gujarat are threat to them. Sardar Patel united 450 countries and created Hindustan. Nehru never allowed to come Sardar’s name in limelight. After becoming PM Nehru changed Gandhian path and diverted the nation to Soviet way. He said Gandhi was impractical. Morarjibhai Desai was pushed to jail by Indira when he was 80, because Morarji could become Prime Minister.

Modi actually a liberal person, I knew it first in 1970s

It is very easy to throw allegations, but Special Investigation Team(SIT) was not formed by Narendra Modi, SIT has given clean chit to Narendra Modi. I know Modi since 1970s. In 1970s when Modi was active in Vidhyarthi Parishad, I used to come to Gujarat for rest, that’s because Gujarat was ruled by Janata government. Modi would come to railway station and take me to Makrand Desai’s place. At that time we knew Modi as liberal person. Now his impression is different. All I want to say is that which court has said he is guilty? Modi was a new Chief Minister when 2002 happened Tell me whether Rajiv Gandhi was able to control 1984 riots, Morarji Desai or his superior Indira Gandhi were able to control 1969 riots? Do yo know about 1969 riots? Khan Abdul Gafarkhan had tears in his eyes at that time and he said that it was his mistake that he supported India. Now if there’s no riot for last ten years in Gujarat, then should not you give credit to Modi for this sustained and durable period of peace? Not all other states enjoy such record.

Modi capable for PM’s post, but …

Nobody can question capability of Modi as PM candidate, but who will become PM, will be decided by destiny. If Devegoda can become Prime Minister if this country, then even yo can become prime minister.

Minimum corruption in Gujarat

Whether it’s Rajiv Gandhi foundation report or transparency international report, they clearly suggest that there’s minimum corruption in Gujarat. Now Congress in Gujarat is speaking about CAG report, but CBI is working under its central government, Court option is open, Congress is not able to do that. They are just giving statements, putting allegations and talking things here and there which anyone can do against anyone.

India loses recognition in international arena

India’s image is so hurt due to corruption affair that earlier while Obama used to speak about emergence of India and China, in his recent speech he spoke only about challenge from China and he skipped India. The existing government in centre is so weak and corrupt that you can’t find its match forget in India, but in entire world. BJP rightly stalled the parliament. This parliament would not be able to do anything. We don’t want this corrupt, impotent government in centre. The nation should be liberated from this government.

Let Anna disown his team, and join me and Ramdev

I am saying it from day one that Anna is good person. I represented Mumbai for two times, I know him. But Anna’s team is naxalite. I am not saying everyone in his team is naxalite, I can’t say it for Kiran Bedi, but most of them are naxalite and they are working on direction of Sonia Gandhi. They prepared a list of 16 corrupt ministers and sent it to Sonia Gandhi who herself is corrupt. Ministers don’t give attention to what Prime Minister says, they listen to Sonia’s orders. Look at the coal issue. Manmohan Singh said there should be auction for coal, but then became silent. Let Anna disown his team and join Anna and me in our fight against corruption.
