Modi’s hosts

The local units of party are loaded with all kinds of instructions before Modi’s yatra heads towards villages. They are informed to discuss local issues in speeches before Modi reaches there because who knows whether they will get to see such a huge crowd and zealous atmosphere again during elections or not. Why not benefit from it? They are also instructed that perhaps Modi will not be able to visit areas of all 182 seats again for promoting BJP before elections. So, better consider Vivekananda Yatra as his only visit prior to elections and prepare the crowd accordingly. The local units of BJP are asked to create vibrant atmosphere by placing hoardings everywhere. Besides, to promote the local leaders, they invite them on stage for appreciating their services. Influential leaders dominating the areas of election seats are not only invited on dais but are also given chance to honour the Chief Minister. Sometimes in long queues a person get hardly one second or two to stand near Modi. The party members make special arrangements to capture each and every moment into camera. That man when later receives his photograph with the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the tide of pride and happiness impels him to remain loyal to BJP throughout the election. Party’s local units are also given instructions to leave some open space between the dais and the crowd due to security reasons.

As per the feedback I have received, the number of people brought to the gatherings during yatra by trucks and tempos are equal to the number of people reaching there voluntarily to take a glimpse of their beloved Chief Minister. This ratio keeps varying between 60:40, 40:60 or 50:50 in all assemblies. Albeit this was the glimpse of assemblies only. Remember, the sides of roads are always crammed with people reaching there voluntarily to hail the Chief Minister.

Treat 5 October as the date of Code of Conduct in force

The Government of Gujarat and BJP seem to be in great rush these days. The associates of BJP and Government are informally told that the code of conduct can be imposed any time after 5th October. The parties are going hustle and bustle to establish final link with the Common Man by finishing up inaugurations and launchings, visits to villages across Gujarat, assemblies like Vivekananda yatra and publishing huge advertisements in leading newspapers at Government’s expenses before 5th October.

The chief of Election Commission announced last week that the elections in Gujarat will take place in due time. The way Modi is travelling everywhere with government machinery, it seemed that the ‘dirty tricks department’ in Delhi could definitely play tactics to hold the elections earlier. But after the Chief Election Commissioner’s statement and the buzz in powerful circles on 5th October date, it seems that the election will be announced as per traditional schedule(know more). Well, for your kind information, this obvious or traditional time means the first week of October or anytime after that.

Packed TV Slots say Sorry to Khushbu Gujarat Ki

The season of winter will bring along the season of tourism activities in Gujarat with the festivals like Navratri, Ranotsav and Kite festival. The new advertisements of ‘Khushbu Gujarat Ki’ campaign highlighting the specialities of Gujarat like Navratri, Handicraft, Uttarayan, Junagarh and Buddha circuit and starring Amitabh Bachchan as the Brand Ambassador of Gujarat are ready to go on air. As per the buzz, Government of Gujarat has approved the budget of a few crores to release these advertisements before the code of conduct is imposed in the first week of October. But the tourism department is facing a new problem. All prominent slots required for the advertisement are already booked by others and they are not available. It is to be considered that the Ads of Khushbu Gujarat Ki by Government are aired at DAVP means cheaper rates. The Tourism Department is puzzled as they are not getting any free slot during prime time.

“It is Like Newborn Baby Delivering Promises”

When it comes to oratory skills, Vajubhai Vala is unrivalled. Recently when Vajubhai Vala remained present at the inauguration of a development work at Saint Kabir Road, Rajkot, he wittily remarked in the reference of formation of Gujarat Parivartan Party under the leadership of Keshubhai Patel that it is almost like a newborn baby who has barely learnt to cry has started delivering promises of providing every one with a saree and electricity connection. He further said, the child must first learn to walk. The party can perform well and bring development only with the help of experienced leaders who have tasted and tested ruling.
