Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today arrested Mehsana DySP Tarun Barot in year 2003 Sadiq Jamal Encounter case. Barot was Inspector in Crime Branch when the encounter happened. Barot was today called for questioning at CBI office, and later was arrested. Barot is considered as brave, patriotic and honest cop. Barot could be taken to special CBI court tomorrow and CBI may seek his remand. Presently three CBI cops are questioning him in CBI’s Gujarat headquarter in sector 16 in Gandhinagar.
