Forget about common people, they didn’t spare their own cadre:Modi

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi continued to get a huge response throughout the route of the Vivekananda Yatra today in the areas of Ahmedabad district. Shri Modi’s yatra is scheduled to complete this Thursday. On Monday, Shri Modi’s first major public meeting was held in Ahmedabad district’s Dholka town.

“Gujarat Congress told its party cadre to join the election campaign saying that the elections will come earlier than schedule. Congress leaders told party workers that candidates would be declared on the 15th of May. They showed the carrot of a party ticket and involved the party workers but even 15th of May didn’t bring anything new / any news. Later the party gave the date of 15th of August to push the workers to party work. The party that doesn’t even spare its own workers will never spare the people. One needs to be cautious against Congress’s lies. We forgive those who commit mistakes, but never those who cheat us. Congress has cheated this nation not once, but numerous times. Whether it’s a promise of removal of poverty or price hike reversal or employment to one crore people, this party has cheated us, and it cannot be forgiven. Now is the time to pay back the party for its cheating practice,” Modi said.

Modi told the people of Dholka how the town used to face communal clashes in the past, and compared to that how the last 11-year period was peaceful.

“There’s an atmosphere of peace, security, harmony and unity which is experienced by all who want to join the journey of development which is the solution of all our problems,” he added.

“In the past there was a time when no one was ready to buy land, while today the prices of land have increased significantly,” Modi said.

Modi thanked the people for coming to his public meeting at the time of office hours on a working day in the extreme heat. He said a new bridge connecting central Gujarat and Saurashtra at Matar will open the gates of development.

Modi said, “Congress party comes to your home through TV screen and asks you to change the situation and the direction 90 times a day, but sparking off clashes between communities, brothers, regions, spreading lies, doing scams is Congress’s direction. Are we ready to go in that direction? BJP’s direction is ‘sauno sath sauno vikas’, BJP’s direction is peace, security and prosperity. If the Congress had joined this direction of Sardar Patel, the nation could never have been in such a pathetic situation today. They distributed papers to you and snatched away your gas cylinders. Congress must not be allowed to re-enter Gujarat at any cost.”
