Sonia may visit Gujarat 50 times, people will not allow the state to go in the hands of scamsters and the corrupt: Modi(Video)

Pavagadh, 11 October 2012

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Swami Vivekananda Yuva Vikas Yatra concluded today at Pavagadh in central/east Gujarat. The one month long yatra kicked off exactly a month ago. During this period Shri Modi spent 17 days in the yatra.

“The yatra that kicked off at the place of Maa Bahuchar is concluding here at the place of Maa Maha Kali,” Modi said at Pavagadh addressing a rally.

Modi recalled an incident how Narendra nath (Swami Vivekananda) visited Maha Kali Maa but sought nothing, and added that that Narendra was a divine soul, but this Narendra is an ordinary person who has sought prosperity, good monsoons, protection against natural calamity, harmony, peace, unity, education, health & dignity of women.

Shri Modi talked about betterment in male/female sex ratio. Modi said the day is not far when the state would have an equal sex ratio.

He also talked about his government’s efforts in the area of girl child education. Modi talked about how his government completed basic uncompleted works like ensuring toilets in schools, setting up Science stream schools in tribal areas. Modi also talked about the Chiranjivi scheme for more institutionalized delivery.

Modi recalled how in the presence of former President Dr. Abdul Kalam and then Governor Naval Kishor Sharma, his government dedicated ’round the clock power’ achievement to the state.

Modi asked the PM that while China showcases Shanghai before the world and Japan showcases Tokyo, he should consider Gujarat as his own and showcase it to the world, but in the last 12 years, no foreign dignitary was allowed to visit Gujarat. The state then found its own way and had presence of dignitaries of 120 nations during Vibrant Summit, which has never happened in Delhi. Modi said this was done by the state on its own, but if the centre was with the state government the achievement could be even higher.

“To teach a lesson to the corrupt regime in Delhi, there’s need to create an atmosphere in the entire nation,” Shri Modi said.

“For the last ten years, Britishers had decided not to have diplomatic relations with Gujarat. Entire Europe followed it. Today Britishers have taken a new decision to connect to Gujarat, and Europe too will follow it. Lately they have realized the truth. I welcome their decision. Gujarat and Europe will jointly do lots of work in the direction of human welfare,” he added.

“I don’t discuss the election because I have total faith that the people of Gujarat have decided to go for Divya/Bhavya Gujarat. Madam Sonia Gandhi can visit the state 50 times, but I have total faith that the people of Gujarat will not give their state to a corrupt and scam ridden government,” he said.
