Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was in Dholera in Ahmedabad district today to attend his felicitation function. Modi was felicitated for declaring new Dholera taluka.
Modi advised Dholera villagers, “don’t spend money, but digest it. Children consume food and digest it and grow, you need to digest money and not spend haphazardly for car and other luxury objects.”
Modi said this in context with increasing land deals and arrival of huge money in villages of Dholera region.
In a lighter mood, Modi in his speech said, “if you want to find when Congress won last time in Gujarat, you need to do something like archaeological excavation, and you will find that when they were not capable to form government on their own, they collected BJP’s scrap and managed to form a government in past.”
Modi said, the last Congress government in Gujarat allocated Rs 600 crore budget for water supply in entire state, while present BJP government has spent Rs 700 crore only for supply of Narmada water to Dholera-Dhandhuka region.
“What’s called development is out of bound subject for Congress party,” Modi said adding that corruption is the only direction in which Congress can proceed.
Modi talked about future of Dholera SIR with metro train, international airport and other infrastructures. He said the Dholera SiR will be double in size compare to Delhi and Shanghai.
