Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia today clarified his position on alleged remark in which he compared Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi with monkey.
In a press conference held in Amdavad on Friday, Modhwadia said, “For last two days, there are reports in the media that I have compared the Chief Minister of Gujarat with an animal, and especially have compared him with a monkey. This is not true.”
“He is Gujarat’s Chief Minister, and any Chief Minister is honorable. We can’t compare him with any animal, and can’t compare the PM with any animal. And in a way Monkeys are our ancestor and we should honor our ancestors, so we respect monkeys, and we respect Chief Minister too,” Modhwadia further said.
