“To ensure that Raksha Shakti University just don’t become a police academy”

The Gujarat government today tabled Raksha Shakti University Amendment Bill in assembly and passed it with majority. The bill is about formation of a search committee for appointment of Director General of university.
Speaking on the bill, minister of state for Home Rajnibhai Patel said that the bill intends to ensure that Raksha Shakti University just don’t become a police academy. An person who has achieved excellence in the areas of internal security, defense education, law, education, police service management or governance can become Director General of this university. The state government has proposed amendment on IIT and IIM pattern. The governing body of Raksha Shakti University will also be expanded.
The bill was passed with majority vote in the house.
