Gujarat Congress’s important meeting in Surat

Surat, 1 July 2013

Gujarat Congress’s meeting of state office bearers will be held at a farm house near Surat on Tuesday. Newly appointed state in-charge of party Shri Gurudas Kamat will attend the meeting. Gujarat Congress’s trimurti leaders and union ministers elected from Gujarat will also remain present in this meeting. Kamat will listen to them as well as the other office bearers, including the leaders of the organizations working under party. The main discussion point will be about getting meaningful feedback on forthcoming Lok Sabh elections, and revival and strengthening the party. Gujarat Congress President Shri Arjun Modhwadia has resigned from his post after the assembly election results, but party has not taken final decision on whether to continue him or change him. There’s a feeling that such deadlock should end and party leadership should clear their stand. The report prepared by Mr. Kamat will be presented to Rahul Gandhi.
