Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s ancestral house collapsed

Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s 100-year old house in Valsad town collapsed on Sunday, 18 August. It was in very poor condition, and no-one was living inside for last many years.
Shri Manekshaw’s father was doctor. He left this house built in British raj era and settled in Amritsar where Sam Manekshaw was born.
Sam Manekshaw himself, and his family members had paid visit to this house in past. Around ten years back, frontal part of this house was collapsed. Later other parts of the house also collapsed in last five years.
