Members of national green tribunal(NGT) on Saturday visited Nirma company’s proposed cement plant at Padhiarka village near Mahuva.
Construction of this plant is on halt for last many months due to ongoing court case filed by Mahuva Bandhara Khetivadi Paryavaran Bachav Samiti.
NGT’s Dr. DK Agrawal and Dr. GK Pande had earlier visited the plant site in the month of June also.
During their yesterday’s visit, Nirma company’s regional manager Ashish Desai was present. Anti-plant agitators former MLA Dr. Kalsaria and others gathered near the controversial site of plant.
NGT members clicked photographs of the site and heard representations from both sides.
