Showers in parts of Gujarat on the first day of Navratri 2013

Rounds of shower are reported on first day of Navratri at many areas of city of Ahmedabad, in Mehsana belt, Himmatnagar/Prantij belt, capital town Gandhinagar, central Gujarat areas of Kheda, Mahudha, Nadiad among other places.
A round of shower was witnessed in Amdavad and other places at around 4.00 pm.
Today’s rain fall is important because it’s the first day of Navratri, and millions of garba players who have finished all preparations of Navratri are eager to go to the open ground to play garba in the evening.
Even light rain during Navratri can play spoiler, because the festival is celebrated on open ground.
Atleast in last decade and half, the period of Navratri has never seen such shower.
