Smt Kokilaben Ambani Dedicates Shri Dhirubhai Ambani Nagarpalika Garden at Chorwad

The people of Chorwad got a new place for leisure today. The recreated and refurbished Shri Dhirubhai Ambani Nagarpalika Garden was dedicated today in a simple ceremony by Smt Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani. Remained present on this occasion was Mr. Parimal Nathwani, Group President, Corporate Affairs of RIL Chorwad Nagarpalika President Mr. Vimal Chudasama and MLA Mr. Rajesh Chudasama were the chief guests.

Spread in more than one acre land, the Dhirubhai Ambani Nagarpalika Garden has a well-paved half-a-kilometer long running walk-way. Approximately 1,000 sq. ft. surface is covered with a lush green velvet lawn. The garden has 900 running meters of hedge with large number of plantations of green-leaved Karamda variety plant. The garden consists of large number of herbs and trees, creepers and plants requiring less water and having survival capacity if irrigated with a kind of brackish water of Chorwad. Jasood, Saru, Coconut, Pomegranate etc enhance beauty of the garden. As many as 35 benches are placed across the area in the garden. A specially created fine-particles sand-pit in 500 sq. mt. area for children and a play ground for tiny-tots are added attractions. A toilet block each for ladies and gents is also constructed.

Large number of premier citizens of Chorwad including Chief Officer of Nagarpalika Mr. Jatin Mehta, Former MLA Mr. Madhabhai Boricha, Advocate Mr. Rohanbhai Vaidya, Mangrol Dy.S.P. Mr. Baldevsinh Vaghela, former President of Chorwad Nagarpalika Mr.Hirabhai Chudasama and host of others attended the dedication function. For family of the world famous industrialist Dhirubhai Ambani, Chorwad is close to their hearts. Developmental works for the benefit of the people of Chorwad are carried out continuously.

With Dhirubhai Ambani Memorial House in Chorwad finding a key place in the list of tourists of Junagadh and Somnath, Shri Dhirubhai Ambani Nagarpalika garden dedicated to Chorwad is an additional place of leisure for the people of the town.
