Ahmedabad, 25 March 2014
The first question that greeted Paresh Rawal at the Ahmedabad airport during his brief interaction with media persons was about “outsider” tag attached to him in this city.
Paresh reacted, “I am not outsider, I keep visiting Ahmedabad for one and half month every year in Ahmedabad. There are my relatives in Ahmedabad. My sister lives in Ahmedabad East constituency. I am from Paliyad village. I am not stranger to this place.”
When asked about his strategy, the veteran actor and Modi loyalist Paresh Rawal said, “My only strategy will be to work for people. This is also Narendra Modi’s and BJP’s strategy. I believe that without party workers, no leader can become a leader.”
When asked about Harin Pathak, he said, “Harinbhai is like my elder brother. I am not going to speak anything against him. He is like my elder brother and we will work together.”
Mumbai based Gujarati, Paresh Rawal has been selected as BJP candidate on Ahmedabad East seat replacing seven term sitting MP Harin Pathak. During his two days visit to Ahmedabad he is going to meet party workers of Ahmedabad East Lok Sabha seat. He may also meet his political icon Narendra Modi today.
