Vietnamese delegation visits CM

A Vietnamese delegation of 13 members headed by Vice Chairman Mr. Nguyen Din Xung of People’s Committee from Thanh Hoa territory today paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel here in Gandhinagar.

This delegation headed here to study Gujarat’s infrastructural facilities, petrochemicals and industry-friendly environment alongside focusing upon the best practices and management that exerts a pull on foreign investors.

During the meeting, Smt. Anandiben Patel congratulated Vietnam, comparatively a small nation for having been recognized as one of the fastest growing developing countries that has always kept pace with the development even though being confronted with an array of difficulties in the past.

On this occasion, she expressed her willingness to learn developmental potentials in the agricultural field of food processing of Vietnam.

The delegation also expressed their interest to exchange their experience regarding Gujarat’s agricultural development and sugar industries.

Alongside learning the best approaches of “Vietnam Women’s Union”, Chief Minister also gave details to the delegation about various approaches adopted by the state government for women empowerment such as Mission Mangalam, encouragement to the women animal caregivers, girls’ education etc.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xung gave details to the chief minister about the opportunities to empower women in Vietnam and also explained that 35 per cent women holds presence in their parliament. In this meeting, the delegation also gave information about the MOU with Gujarat Chambers of Commerce and Industries.

Chief Minister invited the delegation to participate in upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit-2015.

Smt. Anandiben Patel also welcomed the suggestions given by the members of the delegation to add up to the development of Gujarat. The delegation ensured that this meeting with Chief Minister shall strengthen the relations among India-Vietnam-Gujarat.
