Junagadh’s Darbar museum to be shifted to new building

Junagadh’s Darbar hall museum will be shifted to Taj manjil building. This is second shifting of this museum.The museum was established in Azad chowk in year 1900. It was shifted to Darbar hall in Nawabi era.
The museum will remain closed during 1-30 September due to shifting work.
The government has also planned to shift Sakkarbag museum to Taj manjil. With shifting of both Darbar museum and Sakkarbag museum to Taj manjil, the visitors will have opportunity to visit two museums at one place. At present they need to visit both museums separately.
