Indian Navy to set up Full-Scale Sardar Patel Naval base at Porbandar

Indian Navy will develop a fully equipped Naval base on Porbandar coast and name it after Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This detail was shared by Indian Navy’s Gujarat-Maharashtra Flag Officer Commanding Rear Admiral Ashokkumar during his meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel.
Ashokumar discussed Navy’s future plans on 1600 km long Gujarat coast including infrastructural facilities and jetty.
