MLA vs elected body: 12 BJP councillors of Savli municipality resign

Ahead of the by-poll of Vadodara Lok Sabha seat scheduled to take place on 13 September, and just one day before party’s national vice president Parshottam Rupala’s campaign visit to the town, 12 BJP Councillors of Savli municipality submitted their resignation from party’s primary membership.
12 Councillors including vice president of municipality have problem with local BJP MLA Ketan Inamdar. They allege that while clash between local BJP MLA Inamdar and elected wing of BJP ruled Savli municipality is well known, the latest incident of attack on Municipality vice president Kalpesh Patel and other Councillors allegedly by Inamdar’s supporters on Thursday night crossed all limits.
Inamdar, rebel of BJP during year 2012 assembly general elections was elected as independent MLA but later joined BJP. Those who resigned from Savli municipality ask whether party wants imported independent rebel or original party cadre in Savli?
