Gujarat Government to launch new urban vision 2030

Gujarat Government is almost ready with a brand new Urban Development Vision 2030, a blue print for facelift of the state’s cities in coming one and half decade.
The State Urban Development department has prepared this vision document with the help of leading management consultant KPMG and it’s likely to announce during the upcoming 7th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investor Summit schedule in January 2015. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to release the vision document.
The vision documents is focused on the planned development of Ahmedabad and other major Corporations, 159 Municipalities, new emerging green cities like Dholera, GIFT city, several other new cities on the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor(DMIC) route with the help of national and international agencies. The vision documents will not only give the broad idea of where the Gujarat’s cities will grow but also be a readymade guide for the realtors and investors who want invest in the state’s reality sector.
The document will not only be a ready reckoner for urban planners but also for those wants to establish their industries in Gujarat in coming years as it will give broad idea of probable residential, industrial and commercial zoning. The Gujarat Government is also focusing on number of urban infrastructure projects to be developed in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode coming years on a big way.
